Whatever the decade or style of music, War Memorial Auditorium is popular to artists and audiences alike for its open floor and seated configuration, which gives the option of sitting or standing during the performance. With pleasing acoustics and a charming art deco aesthetic, the space remains a top choice for a multitude of amazing concerts and special events.

When War Memorial Auditorium was dedicated in 1925, leading architects and artists of the time contributed to its style, near-perfect acoustics, and atmosphere. For 85 years, that legacy has continued—the pop culture in one era becomes a part of WMA’s colorful history in the next.

Talk about eclectic, KISS and Rush performed here on one night in 1974 and Charlie Daniels hosted his first Volunteer Jam the day-after. The next year the Eagles opened for Procol Harem. Through the years, old-time musicians, country singers, and rock stars have thrilled audiences in this remarkable space. David Bowie. Elvis Costello. Jim Croce. More recently, WMA has also hosted Mumford and Sons, Flogging Molly, The Arctic Monkeys, and Ryan Adams. The list goes on and on.

The legend grows; History is always in the making.

Vaccination and Mask Policy Effective Nov. 17, 2021

Beginning November 17, 2021, ticket holders 12 years and older will be required to show proof of negative COVID-19 PCR, negative antigen, or positive antibody test administered within 3 days of the performance date.

As an alternative, patrons may also provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. 

In addition, all audience members 6 years and older must wear a mask.

TPAC highly recommends children ages 2-5 wear a mask.
